Nicole Kidman made a statement by wearing the pink Chanel couture gown that Lagerfeld had designed for her back in 2004 for a Chanel No. 5 commercial directed by Baz Luhrmann. Phoebe Bridgers kept her signature skeleton motif alive by donning an elegant Tory Burch evening gown outlined in pearls as a nod to Karl.
The best dressed men of the night also made bold style statements.Model-actor Alton Mason put his own spin on Lagerfeld’s iconic Chanel brides, while Jordan Roth donned a custom Schiaparelli outfit in the shape of a fan, which was an homage to Lagerfeld’s signature accessory.
The most memorable moment of the evening was undoubtedly Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s entrance. Rihanna wore a heavenly white Valentino look, complete with a floral cocoon cape, while A$AP Rocky opted for a black blazer, kilt, and bedazzled jeans from Gucci. They were the event’s royal couple, stealing the show.
